We believe that intentional community is the key to spiritual growth. Our community groups are places where you can walk out a life in faith alongside brothers and sisters who are committed to follow Jesus. If you are ready to take the next step, we invite you to join a community group!
This verse is the heartbeat of the Children's Ministry at HOPE Church. Knowing that Jesus values and gladly welcomes children drives our every interaction, Sunday school lesson, and purpose. We believe God empowers us to share the good news of Jesus Christ's love with every child who worships with us whether we're lifting our hands in praise, listening to the Word of God, or playing games and making crafts. God is the most creative One we know and we see His works on display when we look at our kids - we look forward to serving you and your children!
parents with Infants
- In order to help parents partake in the worship service, we have a Baby Room in the back of the sanctuary with an audio/visual feed to the main service. The Baby Room is also outfitted with toys, a changing table, and books for little ones. There is an elevator for parents with strollers (strollers may be parked in Room 1, next to the kitchen).
- We also have a private Nursing Room for mothers who are nursing and/or pumping, right next to the Baby Room.
Jam (Ages 2-4)
JAM Directors: Sarah Chung and Kay Ku
We invite parents of toddlers to bring their children to JAM (Jesus And Me), for children ages 2-4 years old. Children are divided into smaller groups according to age (JAM2s, JAM3s, JAM4s) for Bible story, crafts and snack time from 12-1 PM. At 1:00, all JAM kids come together for large group where they enjoy praise time, circle time, centers and more until the end of service when parents can pick up their children. We use the Deep Blue Curriculum by Cokesbury, which includes Biblically sound, age-appropriate activities and crafts to help kids learn about the love of God at this tender age. We also encourage children to build friendships with one another, and emphasize core values of sharing, caring and praying for each other.
HOPE Kids (grades k-5)
HOPE Kids Director: Ginny Lee
Welcome to HOPE Kids, the Elementary Education group at HOPE Church! Our loving and talented staff strive each week to teach our students Bible-based lessons using prayer, music, crafts, and discussions. We believe every child has a unique purpose in the kingdom of God. Our mission is to equip our kids by studying Biblical truths, treating others with compassion and developing a genuine lifelong journey of walking with God. Snacks are also provided!
Chosen is a youth ministry comprised of middle and high school students. Our name comes from 1 Peter 2:9, “But you are a Chosen people". We meet on Friday nights at 7pm for worship, intercession, bible studies, and fun! Our weekly meetings focuses on encountering God’s presence and encouraging the youth to walk in the fullness of who they were created to be. Our vision is to see the next generation of youth being transformed by the love of Christ.

We are a campus-based community on mission to see God glorified in and through the lives of students, faculty, staff and surrounding community of the University of Maryland at College Park. We also serve the college-aged members of HOPE Church as they are scattered across the city and campuses abroad. We seek to glorify God by growing in our understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ, becoming disciples who then make disciples, and sharing the message of the kingdom in our sphere of influence. We believe that God has called us to be a place of hope for all those who seek to take refuge in Him.

ARC (Adults Reaching Christ) is HOPE Church's adults ministry. Our aim is to sustain a Christ-centered community that perpetually celebrates what God is doing in the greater DMV region. We have weekly small group meetings, monthly large group gatherings, and regular interactions with other ministries in the area; all towards a beautification of the Body of Christ and an unrelenting adoration of the One.

Covenant consists of married couples and families at HOPE Church. We aim to be a place where families are nurtured in their faith, couples find encouragement for their Christian marriage, and parents are equipped to raise their children in the knowledge of God. Our desire is to see every family live out their Kingdom purpose and calling through worship, service, and fellowship.
Our members are encouraged to join a Covenant Life Group (small groups), which consist of 5-6 families who meet twice a month. It is here that we share lives together. As “iron sharpens iron” (Proverbs 27:17) we speak truth into each other’s lives, and share our triumphs as well as our sorrows. We have seasonal activities such as our spring picnic, Christmas fellowship, and family retreat.
