February 2019 Update

Hope this message finds you well.

My last three and 1/2 weeks have been whirlwind of changes - I signed out from 1-504 PIR, signed in to my new position as the Resource Manager at Fort Bragg Religious Support Office, went to Fort Jackson, SC to attend Chaplaincy Resources Management Course, and while I was there, had a little promotion ceremony. I am now a chaplain who ensures that Fort Bragg RSO and Chaplains and Religious Affairs Specialists be good stewards of the resources we get from the big Army and through tithes and offerings collected at worship services on post.

I am little saddened by not being a battalion chaplain working alongside soldiers any longer. However, it will be satisfying to see how my new role will enable and keep many ministries on post to happen.

Please pray that I will be a leader who can say no when I need to, yet in encouraging way. (If you know a resource Manager or a controller, ask him or her why this is so needed :-)

Blessings,

S.I.

A word from Chaplain Suh about Honor.

The first jumper on the left is me. I was on "Saint Michael's Jump" which is an annual 82nd Airborne Division Unit Ministry Team event where I conduct a spiritual fitness event with several Paratroopers from my unit and share a meal with them, and then jump together, earning the 82nd ABN DIV Saint Michael's medallion. Saint Michael is the patron saint of paratroopers.
