Prayer

One of our core values as a community is prayer. We believe that prayer is the place of encounter and intimacy with God and the heartbeat of our ministry. Learn more about our corporate prayer gatherings.

...for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.
— Isaiah 56:7

Prayer is a core value of HOPE Church. The Prayer Ministry exists to encourage and equip believers to remember and declare the goodness of the Lord, and to make intercession from a place of confidence in God's love.

Come join us throughout the week as we seek the face of God through prayer!

If you are interested in serving in the prayer ministry as a praise leader or prayer leader, please contact Brian Lin.

The Outreach Ministry aims to fulfill the second greatest commandment in the Bible, "Love your neighbor as yourself" (Mark 12:31).  We, as the local church body, are called to humbly serve and love the community around us. Currently there are monthly outreach opportunities to love and serve the community in Baltimore City, MD.

The Mercy Ministry exists to express the compassionate heart of God for those in need by being the hands and feet of Christ. We seek to do this by meeting the needs of our neighbors whether it be physical, spiritual, mental, or emotional in nature.

We are currently partnered with Safe Families, an organization that supports local families with children at risk of entering the foster care system. We provide these families with material resources, host homes for the children, assistance connecting with proper agencies, opportunities to grow in faith, and simply a helping hand that we all need at some point. As a community that has experienced the merciful love of God, we desire to extend this same love to others.

Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
— James 1:27

And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.”
— Isaiah 6:8

Our heart is to reach the nations for Jesus. We have partnered with ministries throughout the world in places such as India, Thailand, China, Mexico, Serbia, and Turkey. We equip and train short and long term missionaries and teams to be sent out to share the love of Jesus. We want to bring the gospel to the dark corners of the world, and expand the kingdom of Jesus.

Our HOPE Church missions team (T27) served in Thailand and Burma this year. You can read their blog here: https://hopeforthailand.wordpress.com
