REV. KYU (Q) KIM
CO-PASTOR

Kyu (Q) Kim was born in Korea and immigrated to Honolulu, Hawaii in 1975. During his early college years, he had a personal encounter with the God of the Bible and was called to ministry. He finished his undergraduate studies in philosophy at the University of Pittsburgh. He received his Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary and later studied at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Pastor Q has served in many capacities- youth pastor, campus ministry founder, evangelist and church planter. He has been happily married to Joy, his wife of over 30 years, and is the father of three beautiful daughters, Anna, Amy, and Abigail. Pastor Q currently serves as the co-lead pastor of HOPE Church. His desire is to live as a lover of God and his passion is to see a generation of youth single-mindedly in love with Jesus Christ.


REV. MIMI KIM
CO-PASTOR

Mimi Kim grew up in Maryland and was active in her church's youth and college groups. She graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 1994 with a BA in Government & Politics. Having discerned God’s call to ministry, she received her Master of Divinity from Regent College, an international graduate school of Christian Studies in Vancouver, Canada. Upon graduation, she moved to Seattle, WA to serve as the youth/education pastor at United Presbyterian Church of Seattle where she was later ordained. Pastor Mimi has been serving as the associate pastor at HOPE since 2008 and recently became co-lead pastor. She and her husband Hoon have been married for over 25 years and are blessed with twin daughters, Emma and Madelyn. Her life motto is: "Trust and obey. God will make a way!"


REV. JASON CHOI
ASSISTANT PASTOR

Jason Choi is a Maryland native. He received his call to ministry at the University of Maryland, College Park where he had an encounter with Jesus. After graduating with a BA in English Language and Composition, he served as a missionary with Youth with a Mission and pursued a Master of Divinity online through Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA. During his seminary education, he felt a long-term call to serve the Greater Washington – Baltimore region and was ordained as an ECO Presbyterian pastor. Pastor Jason is married to Hannah and serve together in multiple capacities including youth, college, worship, and other areas of church. The life verse for Pastor Jason is Matthew 6:33, “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
