Su Kim reminds us that “We are Citizens of Heaven” and that the things of this earth cannot satisfy. We are not perfect, but we know that God accepts us because of the cross. Therefore, we are called to imitate Jesus, the perfect example of humility, and mature Christians, our fellow citizens of heaven.

Dr. Elijah Kim teaches and illuminates God’s word for HOPE Church on its 10th anniversary. Just as the early church was a house of prayer and gathering place, so we are exhorted to keep prayer as the core and heartbeat of our identity.

Pastor Kyu Kim brings us to John 21 to witness how, just days after denying Jesus, Peter was forgiven, restored, and called by Jesus. Peter was feeling discouraged, disqualified, and disheartened. In contrast to how the world would have treated Peter, Jesus instead reminded Peter of his beginnings and restored him to be that fisher of men.

Pastor Kyu Kim returns to the road to Emmaus and studies why Jesus lamented about foolish men who are slow of heart to believe. In the days after His resurrenction, Jesus prepared the disciples for Pentecost by helping them understand that the Scriptures were all about Christ. And the deepest mystery is that the Savior came to sacrifice and suffer on the way to glory.

Pastor Kyu Kim starts a new sermon series by explaining how Jesus prepared the disciples during the days leading to Pentecost. Like his fellow disciples, Thomas encountered with the resurrected Jesus and proclaimed Him as Lord and God. During these 50 days to Pentecost, we are encouraged to seek and fast for more of God. Be not unbelieving but believing!

Pastor Mimi Kim asks: Do you have God’s compassion for His people? Though not everyone is currently called to go into the mission field, we are all commanded to pray for more workers for the plentiful harvest. Pastor Mimi encourages us that anyone and everyone can be useful in the missions field.

Pastor Kyu Kim takes us through the gospel of Mark to proclaim the good news: Jesus has risen! People were alternately amazed and terrified at what Jesus taught and did, and ultimately came to know that Jesus is the Son of God.

Pastor Kyu Kim examines Peter’s denial of Jesus and reminds us to pray that our faith will not fail. Ultimately, what is the difference between Peter and Judas in their darkest times? Peter never gave up hope; Judas thought he was beyond reconciliation. Our God is a God who restores.

Pastor Kyu Kim urges us to obey the Great Commissions in the gospels, and in particular that found in Mark 16. We are called and given authority to continue Jesus’ ministry: preaching the gospel to all the world.
